UpToDate includes more than 165 interactive medical calculators that allow you to enter the values in commonly used formulas to obtain numerical data.These calculators are also available within the mobile app version.
To find the Calculators:
Option 1: Select from the main tool bar on the website or the menu on the app.
Option 2: Search the term "calculators" in the search bar.
UpToDate® includes electrocardiogram examples and diagnoses.
Type "ecg test" in the search box.
Choose one of the ECG test topics (for example, "Intermediate ECG test") by clicking on the title.
Read the case history, click the waveform link to open a window that displays the ECG strip, along with a normal ECG strip. The diagnosis will display on the right.
provide interactive guides to help you make appropriate decisions related to specific clinical questions based exclusively on content synthesized from UpToDate and the underlying evidence in society guidelines and in the literature.
Lab interpretation can be found within the UpToDate Contents drop down in the blue toolbar, or by conducting a search for high-volume tests and evaluations. Click on the title of the lab interpretation monograph or the image in the quick access panel to view the short and concise overview providing direction on what the abnormal test results mean, what factors may impact the results and what to do next.
UpToDate provides over 1500 patient education topics in up to 19 languages, covering common medical conditions and procedures. Topics are available in The Basics and Beyond the Basics formats, catering to different information needs.
UpToDate provides access to foundational content from the leading drug information resource, Lexidrug, including information on drug dosing, interactions, adverse effects, and other drug-related content. Searching a drug name will return drug information topics and other information related to that drug.
