The resources and services of the Rare Books and Manuscripts section are available to anyone whose research needs may be met in our collections.

Materials in the non-circulating collections may be used by the public and by U of R students, faculty, and staff under supervision in the Rare Books and Manuscripts department during library hours, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. An appointment is required. Please be prepared to schedule with us a minimum of two weeks prior to your intended visit.

We are happy to assist with research inquiries by email, phone, or virtual appointment, but the best way to initiate your inquiry is to contact us.
