PLOS recently changed its submission system. To take advantage of UR's institutional partnership with PLOS, authors no longer need to fill in any additional information or tick any specific boxes. As long as the corresponding author uses their UR institutional email address to submit the article and has their affiliation as the University of Rochester in Editorial Manager, the manuscript will be added to the UR agreement upon official acceptance.
Corresponding authors should follow the submission process by selecting that they accept the fees and completing the submission of their paper. Given the UR self-affiliation, authors should not anticipate receiving an invoice once the article is formally accepted. The article should instead be paired with UR's publishing agreement and sent to the library for formal approval.
Notice: If any UR corresponding author receives an invoice after acceptance in error, they should forward it along to institutionalbilling@plos.org and PLOS will work with their billing team to void the invoice and correct the article’s affiliation as soon as possible.
