The protocols.io platform is a free and open access repository for recording and sharing detailed up-to-date research methods and protocols. All public content on protocols.io is open access and free to read and publish.
Miner Library holds an Institutional subscription to protocols.io premium.
Protocols.io premium allows current University of Rochester factulty, staff, and students:
- Unlimited private protocols
- Share, reproduce, and collaborate on protocols in real time
- Keep track of protocols (past and current) in various versions
- Reach a wider impact (submitted public protocols will receive a DOI)
- Protocol import service (1 per user)
- Conversion of one existing protocol into protocols.io

- Go to protocols.io
- Register for an account with your University of Rochester email address
- Verify your account through the verification email that will be sent to you and sign into your account on protocols.io.
