Miner Library's main reading room is the original lobby of Strong Memorial Hospital. Lots of different seating, a fireplace, and plenty of outlets for your mobile computing are waiting here for you. The reading room is for individual quiet reading and study only.

Off our main reading room, you will find additional study space. This is a popular, light-filled location for quiet, individual reading and study. You'll also find our individual study desks for a little more privacy to do your quiet study and work.

Study Carrels in Stacks

There are also several study carrels located on the upper and lower level of the stacks.

Collaboration Space

Lobby Area

Located just inside the main entrance. A variety of seating and table options are available in this collaboration space. Talking in this area is allowed and encouraged!

Atrium

There are many tables and chairs placed along the walls of this long hallway. It’s a great place to study, to have an impromptu meeting, or to have lunch. Plenty of natural light from the skylights!
