LibKey Nomad

LibKey Nomad is a browser extension that facilitates access to the Libraries' full-text resources as you find research on the web. LibKey Nomad provides one-click access to full text from websites like PubMed, Wikipedia, and publisher pages.

To download LibKey Nomad:

  • Head to the LibKey Nomad site
  • Select your Browser:
    • Google Chrome
    • Safari
    • Firefox
    • Microsoft Edge
    • Brave
    • Vivaldi
  • Select the University of Rochester as your library

Boolean Operators

Don't forget your Boolean operators!

Nesting:

 Use parentheses ( ) to control exactly how the system interprets your Boolean operators

  •   Your search is processed left-to-right
  •  Terms inside ( ) are processed as a unit, which is called nesting

Example:

(occupational therapy OR physical therapy) AND high-risk pregnancy

Interlibrary Loan

Linking Google Scholar to Miner Library

  • Navigate to Google Scholar and click on the 3 lines at the top left. 

  • Click on Settings 

  • Select Library Links 

  • Search for University of Rochester and save 

  • You can now see links to full text in your Google Scholar search results!
