If you need help with a literature search for publication, research, grants, or patient care the Miner Librarians are here to help. URMC departments are paired with a liaison librarian to help meet your needs. When you submit a literature search request, your liaison librarian will complete a search of the literature on your behalf. Once completed your librarian will shared the results of the search. Have a question and not sure where to turn? Our Ask a Librarian service provides you with the information you need. Staffed Monday-Friday 9 am-5 pm, our librarian on-call will help you find the answer you are looking for. From here you can submit a question, request a literature search, seek information for patients, chat with a librarian, or make an appointment.
Interlibrary Loan is a free of charge service Miner Library provides for URMC affiliated faculty, staff, students, and other UR affiliates. When you submit your request to an item we don't have full text access to, our Interlibrary Loan team reaches out to libraries all of the world to get you the information you need. Typical turnaround time for journal articles is 1-2 business days, but there are a variety of factors that could impact that. If you are requesting a book the turnaround is 7-10 business days.
